Ironbridge Archaeology Seminar Series

As one of the many activities and events that will be run throughout my year as the community archaeology training placement will be a monthly talk for volunteers and the general public to be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm. mace
The series will be kicked off on 4th June by yours truly and I will be talking about the nature of warfare in medieval Wales. This topic is the subject of my PhD research and will discuss the images of warfare in Wales identified in historical arrow sources and art, and then compare them to the archaeological record. There are some really interesting and suprising discoveries which could turn the current thoughts on this topic on their heads. There’s no need to book so if you are interested, just come along to the G F Williams room, adjacent to Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron.dagger Alternatively, for further deatils contact me on 01952 435948 or email samantha.colclough@ironbridge.org.uk. Hope to see you there
